San Diego, CA, May 6-9, 2009
The 28th Annual Scientific Meeting will feature two author-attended poster sessions. Chosen from a large number of submissions, the more than 300 selected posters will present the best innovations and research in the study and treatment of pain. Poster abstracts selected for presentation at the annual meeting will be available online in a searchable database in late March to allow registrants to plan their poster viewing in advance of the meeting.

There will be two poster sessions at the annual meeting. Posters ending in an odd number will be on display on Thursday, May 7. Posters ending in an even number will be on display on Friday, May 8. Authors are only required to be present during their assigned display time. Posters will be set up and displayed in the exhibit hall.
If your poster board number ends in an odd number:
- Set up your poster on Wednesday, May 6 between 4-5 pm OR Thursday, May 7 between 6:45-9 am.
- Please be at your poster on Thursday from 4:15-5:45 PM (you only need to be present during this author-attended session).
- Your poster must be removed by 6 PM on Thursday. APS cannot be held responsible for any posters remaining on boards after this time.
If your poster board number ends in an even number:
- Set up your poster on Friday, May 8 between 8-10 am.
- Please be at your poster on Friday from 4:00-5:30 PM (you only need to be present during this author-attended session).
- Your poster must be removed by 6:00 PM on Friday, May 8. APS cannot be held responsible for any posters remaining on boards after this time.
Please plan to be available during most of your assigned author-attended session so that you can discuss your work and answer questions from attendees. The author-attended sessions are relatively informal, with attendees visiting several posters during the allotted time period. You are not expected to prepare a formal presentation, but should be ready to discuss your work with attendees who stop to view your poster.
